The Reading Corner
From £19.99
The Scene
A coloured botanical engraving on cream: the seed, the shoot, the bud and the flower, each labelled in a neat specimen hand. Below it the line Thank you for helping me grow, and your class name and year.
The Style
A hand-coloured natural-history plate: fine engraved line with soft, clear colour on cream paper, the plant and its insects drawn together the way early naturalists showed a life cycle.
The Inspiration
Victorian botanical plates, with the growth stages named like a specimen.
How It's Made
A print of a digital artwork in the style of a coloured Victorian botanical engraving, not an original. Each carries my printed Chapter & Scene signature.
