The scene
Blue-and-white technical plan lines on a fine grid, the beds named like parts of a machine. Add your site, plot number and name and they are set in the plan's own lettering.
The style
An engraved estate plan: fine line and hatching, every bed drawn in neat rows, labels in ruled cartouches, a patterned border, a compass and a scale bar, in the manner of the garden plans engraved for great country houses.
The inspiration
Engineers' blueprints, with the beds named like parts of a machine.
How it's made
A print of a digital artwork in the style of a blue-and-white technical plan, not an original. Each carries my printed Chapter & Scene signature.
