Engraved bookplate lines in one ink colour on cream, in the old ex libris manner. Add her name and a year or a short line, and it is set in the centre in the same lettering as the title.
The style
An Arts and Crafts woodcut border: bold black and white, leaves and flowers twisting through the design, in the manner of the Kelmscott Press books.
The inspiration
The classic ex libris bookplates owners pasted inside their books from the 1700s on.
How it's made
A print of a digital artwork in the style of an engraved library bookplate, not an original. Each carries my printed Chapter & Scene signature.
