Engraved bookplate lines in one ink colour on cream, in the old ex libris manner. Add her name and the class or year, and it is set in the centre in the same lettering as the title.
The style
A Victorian toy-book colour wood engraving: strong outlines, flat warm reds, blues and golds, and a decorative border, like the picture books printed for children in the 1870s.
The inspiration
The classic ex libris bookplates owners pasted inside their books from the 1700s on.
How it's made
A print of a digital artwork in the style of an engraved library bookplate, not an original. Each carries my printed Chapter & Scene signature.
