The Scene

A flat-colour railway poster of Whitby: the abbey on the cliff, the harbour, and a black ship in the storm.

The Style

A Victorian wood engraving: dense, dramatic line, deep blacks and a storm-lit sky, with the town's red roofs as the only colour. Dracula's own decade, in black and white.

The Inspiration

From Dracula by Bram Stoker (1897), and the town of Whitby, where Stoker stayed and set the arrival.

How It's Made

A print of a digital artwork in the style of a 1930s flat-colour railway poster, not an original. Each carries my printed Chapter & Scene signature.

Sizes and Frames

A4, A3 or 12 x 16 in, unframed or framed (slim pine in black, white or natural oak, ready to hang). Made to order on heavyweight 200gsm+ archival matte paper. Free delivery to the UK and US.
